Roxithromycin 150 mg tablets are indicated for the treatment of the following mild-to-moderately severe infections in children caused by or likely to be caused by susceptible micro-organisms: acute pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis, and impetigo.

How to use

Use Roxithromycin as directed by your doctor.

Take Roxithromycin by mouth with food.

If you have trouble swallowing the tablet whole, it may be crushed or chewed with a little water.

Drug Class and Mechanism

Roxithromycin is used to treat serious infections. It kills or slows the growth of sensitive bacteria.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Roxithromycin and are taking it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Storage

Store Roxithromycin at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Store it away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store it in the bathroom. Keep it in a tight, light-resistant container. Keep Roxithromycin out of the reach of children and away from pets.
